Cookies & browser storage

What is stored on your device

The story can cache graphics and recordings normally. Playback state and the page session ID stay in tab memory. We store your Allow/Decline preference in localStorage under “stilltalk-measurement-choice” for up to 180 days. Only after the updated measurement consent, “stilltalk-measurement-visitor” stores a random signed browser credential for up to 30 days, linking your visits on this site. It is not used across other websites. No device fingerprinting is used.

Optional measurements

Only after “Allow measurements” do we send foreground duration, playback and selection events, and sanitised technical errors to our server. Country is estimated locally from the connection IP. Under the updated consent we retain the connection IP and browser/session association for up to 30 days, visible only in our private operations panel. Earlier consent records remain masked and unlinked. Live-synthesis outcomes are included, but not submitted text. We do not collect typed sentences, email-field contents, screen recordings, microphone audio or cross-site history. These measurements are separate from signup. See the Privacy policy.

Change your choice

Use “Privacy choices” in the story footer to allow or decline. Decline works without limiting the demo. Withdrawal stops new events immediately, removes the local browser credential and requests deletion of all sessions, events and IP associations linked to that credential. If the network is unavailable, server records still expire after 30 days. Browser settings can clear the local preference. Clearing that preference does not unsubscribe your email.

Operational counters and private links

Aggregated server request/error counts and server load do not create a browser identifier. Waitlist confirmation and removal links contain purpose-specific private tokens. Keep those links private. No Google Analytics, third-party analytics service, advertising pixel or session-replay service is installed.
